Scan the eSIM QR code you received by email and follow the instructions, or add the eSIM manually as follows:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap Mobile network or Mobile data.
3. Tap Add mobile subscription.
4. Tap Manually enter data at the bottom of the iPhone screen.
Scan the QR code you receive with your camera and follow the instructions, or add eSIM to your phone manually:
Settings>Connections>SIM Manager
Add eSIM>Add QR code>Enter activation code
On the device, go to Settings/Connections, select the eSIM, and choose the delete/remove option. The deleted eSIM can be reinstalled within 30 days, but only on the same device.
By default, the APN is set automatically to the value "globaldata". If not, it must be set manually.
We send a VAT invoice to all our customers. For companies, it's enough to provide the tax number at checkout, and the company and address details will be filled in automatically. The service fee can be recorded as a cost, and the VAT amount can be reclaimed.
If your device is an older model and not eSIM compatible, or if you've already purchased the data package but the trip falls through for some reason, we will refund the full amount of the unused eSIM data package upon request.
Yes, the eSIM you purchase from us can be used on a laptop, tablet, or router, as long as the device is eSIM capable. It's important to know that the eSIM will only work on the device it's first used on - it cannot be installed on multiple devices, nor can it be transferred afterward.
Yes, Wi-Fi hotspot sharing is allowed on almost all of our roaming partner networks. This means you can turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot on your device and share your connection with other devices. In this case, the connected devices will also use the eSIM's data allowance.
Currently, every data package available from us is valid for 30 days from first use. We recommend purchasing the data package a few weeks before your trip begins. Usage must begin within 30 days of purchase at the latest. Under an individual agreement, it's also possible to use the service for a shorter or longer period.
We send an SMS to your HolidayRoaming eSIM once 80% of your data allowance has been used.
If you use up your purchased data allowance, data transfer will stop, but it will resume once you purchase a new data package. It's a good idea to buy a new data package before your current one expires, since an internet connection is required to make a purchase.
You can pay by bank card, GPay, Apple Pay, or bank transfer.
If data roaming has been turned off on the device's original SIM card and is only enabled on the eSIM purchased from us, then there are no additional costs involved - your own provider will not charge any data roaming fees. Overuse is not possible with the HolidayRoaming eSIM, so no costs beyond the prepaid fee will arise.
No. The eSIMs we offer only provide data roaming, but you can use your own phone number for Viber, WhatsApp, FaceTime, and other data-based internet calls through the HolidayRoaming eSIM.
The eSIM you purchase can only be used for data, but our service is compatible with ViberOut, which lets you keep your own phone number and make regular calls over the internet connection provided by the eSIM. Of course, you can also make regular calls on your existing SIM, but in that case your provider's roaming rates will apply.
If you purchased your device from your original carrier and that carrier blocks the use of other SIMs or eSIMs - meaning your device has a SIM lock - contact your carrier's customer service by phone and ask them to remove the SIM lock restriction so your device becomes carrier-independent. In most cases, carriers will unlock it free of charge.
Yes, of course we also provide service in Hungary, usually at a lower price than other providers. We have contracts with several providers at the same time, so with our eSIM you get much better coverage - if one provider has no coverage in a given location, our eSIM automatically switches to another available provider's mobile network.
